RV is a huge investment and like with other investments, you need a better return on it. To enhance the life and performance of RVs, it needs proper care and maintenance. It is recommended to do periodic inspections of RV at least twice a year. Not only the roof but the entire RV should be inspected to find out areas requiring immediate attention or issues which may likely cause problem in near future. In addition to periodic inspections also inspect the RV after it is exposed to extreme weather conditions like hail or wind storm. · RV Batteries: replace them if needed

· Fire Extinguisher: unpacked it form plastic

· Tires: check the tires make sure they are inflated to proper pressure

· Roof check: check the roof for leaks and apply a roof coating

· Filters: both oil and air filters must be changed

· Water pump: a leaking water pump must be changed

· Generator: Clean up your rig's generator by servicing the air cleaner and check oil levels

· Appliances: check all gas and Lpg appliances 


2. Campsite arrival checklist

· Do a drive by: check the campsite location and amenities on foot

· Pay attention to low hanging branches and obstacles

· RV placement: position RV for back-up or pull through

· Connect water and power make sure they are working in order

· Set-up camp: set up the exterior campsite with chairs and awnings

· Power up: pay attention to power voltages

· Turn on LP gas supply

· Take a short leisure walk and meet with your neighbors


3. Departure day checklist

· Secure delicate items like laptop & stereo

· Lower the TV antenna and dish

· Close roof vents and windows

· Remove awnings

· Clear space for slides inside RV

· Move in slides and lock slide mechanism

· Secure bikes or any other external gear

· Turn off gas and electrical appliances
